Haha nice question! Actually kahit ano :)) May gumagamit ng binders, fillers, notebook, or yellow pad lang. Ako, isa lang ang notebook ko for all subjects (unless required na may separate notebook for a subject— which usually happens in first/second year college lang). At dahil OC akong estudyante (noon), may design pa ang notebook ko. As in yung may magazine cut-outs. Haha it’s a way to keep me inspired to take down notes and study them. ;)

Oo nga pala, incoming BES freshman ka siguro? Anong name mo? :) Hehe sayang di na kita naabutan nung college pa ako. :)

• Assigned topics— Minsan kahit sobrang ikli ng topic, di natatapos sa iisang meeting lang. Minsan kahit sobrang kapal ng assignment, natatapos sa iisang meeting lang (oo, nakakaloka ang moments na ganyan!). Lahat ito ay depende kay Sir Bong at yung flow ng recitation. :)
• First day of Labor— Kami noon, hindi. Nag-introduction lang siya. Pero! Be prepared, baka mag-iba ang ihip ng hangin at magpa-recite siya bigla sa first day.

10 TIPS FOR LABOR! :)

1. Relax! Don’t be too nervous. Believe me.
2. Don’t ever use your cellphone in class. You wouldn’t like to see it in the trash can if you get caught (true story).
3. Never ever go to class unprepared. 1 recitation = 1 quiz. You only get to recite 2-4 times per semester.
4. Take down notes while reading the assignment. It will help you with your recitation.
5. Never ever read directly from the Labor Code while reciting, unless you are asked to read from a specific article.
6. Handwritten notes are allowed during recitation, but only as a guide. Don’t let your notebook think for you.
7. Use your own words while reciting (either in straight English or Filipino, but never taglish). You don’t need to use the jargons on the Labor Code if you don’t understand what it means (he will let you explain them in your own words anyway).
8. If you didn’t do well in the recitation, don’t panic! There are still written quizzes (always announced; objective type—true or false/enumeration), which are really easy if you study.
9. If you don’t get a specific article, don’t be afraid to ask. Sometimes, labow law can be really confusing.
10. Study, study, study! But don’t focus on Labor too much. Remember, there are still other major subjects + thesis! ;)

As Sir Bong quoted in one of his lectures, “The law only protects those who are vigilant, not those who sleep on their rights.” ;)

Hello ulit! :) Ano, haha. Mixture of masaya + mahirap + nakakatakot :))

• Masaya— dahil sa blockmates, professors, mga subjects, at mga events ng UST (sulit sa fireworks display!)
• Mahirap— dahil sa pag-catch up sa mga subjects pag laging suspended ang klase (puro make-up classes!), at dahil sa major subjects, feeling pa-major subjects, at thesis (siyempre)! Mahirap din pag tinamaan ka ng katamaran. ;))
• Nakakatakot— dahil sa college life mo nakasalalay ang future mo. Maraming pwedeng mangyari sa college, maganda man o hindi.

Curious lang, ikaw din ba ang same person na nagtanong ng dalawa pang tanong na sinagot ko? Haha.

Anyway, etong sagot ko ay naka-base sa UST Behavioral Science ah. Kasi ang BES sa La Salle at UP Manila eh medyo iba sa amin. :)

Pros:

• pre-law/pre-med course
• maraming pwedeng maging trabaho after graduation ;)
• a combination of Psychology + Management + Anthropology
• masaya ang subjects!

Cons:

• sa tuwing naririnig ang Behavioral Science, ang tanong ng mga tao ay laging, “Ano yun?” :| :| :|
• sa UST BES— focused sa Human Resource Management. Sinasabi nila, mahirap umangat sa HR. Which is true naman, compared to Marketing or Sales. PERO. Depende sa diskarte mo. ;)

Maraming pwedeng maging trabaho sa course ko. Pwedeng maging HR practitioner, teacher, guidance counselor, lawyer, doctor, at marami pang iba. Pero ako, choice kong maging HR practitioner. At halos lahat naman ng institutions (private companies, schools, hospitals, government offices, etc.) may HR Department eh :)
